Mimsy Hero Academia (random thoughts)
I realize I never continued with my journaling through re-reading My Hero Academia. I think I had made it back to where I had left off a bunch of years ago before I realized that I had a lot of complicated thoughts about the plot, some of the character arcs, and the pacing.
I ended up catching up with the current chapter about 20 days after I first started reading but one day I do want to get all my thoughts together about this series because on one hand, it’s fr near and dear to me and there’s a lot to love about it and on the other hand ….. >>
Now I just have to remember to actually do this soon before it slips out of my brain again haha.

Some fun rough art of my OC Minji, Red Riot’s #1 fan. She saw him be really cool on TV after his debut brawl and ever since then she wants to be just as manly as him! She is silly though because her quirk is very similar to Suneaters instead.. (I’ll post about it some other time)
I just really wanted Red Riot to have a #1 fan when he goes pro he is such a sweetie! He deserves the world!!!!
More going through my old MHA art. I’m at the point in my manga re-read where Bakugou is becoming a big fave and (it’s probably biased but ..) Kirishima’s side antics still make my heart squeeze, he’s so dang lovable!!!
Also thes two are just my favorite duo.
Hard of hearing Bakugou is like … my favorite fandom headcanon. It’s soooo ogoooood.
After today’s episode, a couple of friends and I on twitter were talking about Kouda and sign language .. which led to Bakugou learning sign if he needed a hearing aid … which lead to .. me thinking about him getting some signs wrong since some are really similar O v O;;;
I know it’s ASL not JSL but .. it’s what I know..ish .. / v \

I’m not at the point in my re-read where I like Bakugou yet but I def remember him being one of my favorite characters in the series after a certain point. What a little brat haha he definitely mixes these up on purpose.

Got to chapter 18 on my re-read last night! Oh man I don’t even know where to start I have a thousand thoughts!!!!
I really did forget how fun the beginning of this story is. The panel drawings are so amazing too. Just reminded of how much energy all the characters and art has aaahhhhh!
I even keep interrupting my own readthrough to get up and show my S/O all the super goofy drawings. I don’t think the anime ever captured the same energy for me. I remember reading it, trying to watch with S/O, and then just returning to reading eventually.
